    Mac Mini

I am thinking of getting a Mac Mini to do my editing on. I would connect it to a 4K ultra hd tv and run Lightroom 6. I would appreciate views on whether or not this would be a good route to take or would I be better off just buying a Mac book?

I use a mac book pro 15" for basic work but wouldn't like to edit images on it so yes would go the mini route though a decent screen - but I think mini's are limited to i5 ? will LR be happy with a i5 ?

The Mac mini can be specced up to i7 - from the Apple site -

Configurable to 3.0GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz) with 4MB on-chip shared L3 cache.

      - but the cost is up to £799+

with the resources that current processors need and new developments that will probably push it even further I would always go for high spec machines, especially if investing into a Mac as you know it will be around for a good few years

Thank you Ian and Gelert for your comments on my thoughts for purchasing a Mac Mini, I think I need to do a bit more research before I finally decide.
