Mono is a great shot but the background does really spoil the first one

Cheers guys. The mono always jumped out at me. Love her focus on the daisy

          Re: The flower girls

Alan, two lovely images. Being late to this thread and therefore only seeing the edited image, I thought all of the early discussion about a 'dark patch on the wall' being her shadow and thought you'd all gone stark staring mad. I love the really strong side lighting on that one, and the textured wall behind. As for the first, I get what everyone says about the background, but I have to say I didn't actually notice it on first viewing - which goes to show just how strong the image of her expression and the bubbles is. But of course now I keep finding myself returning to view the pertness...

Thanks Alex. You clearly need to get up early as you're missing out on all the fun lol.

I too felt that the bubble shot was strong enough to allow the background to fall away. I love her expression looking straight at me. It has a 60's feel to it in my opinion. Maybe a white vignette would add to the feel and lose some of the background, thoughts anyone?
And who knew that pertness would be the word of the day and all started by a lady too

                      Re: The flower girls

Nothing I can add about the bubbles etc. but I feel that Lily is a bit lost in the background.

I have tried a slightly tighter crop, what do you think?...

Never considered that as a crop Sid, thanks, it works
