    Korean War Memorial

Today the wife and I headed down to the DC area as I have a training class to attend this weekend. We got there early and headed into Washington DC to walk around the Mall. I took my EOS M3 with me into the city as it is lighter to carry. Here are some images of the memorial:

Fascinating. I was aware of the Vietnam Wall but these are the first pictures I have ever seen of the Korean Memorial. It's quite haunting especially, as Alan says, the 1st one...

          Thanks for sharing.

First is excellent but not quite sure what is going on with the second - deliberate introduction of noise ??

You've got to hand it to the 'mericans: they can certainly make impressive memorials... and photograph them too! Well done Tom
The second one does look like noise but as I would expect it to be made from granite so suspect flecks.

              Cheers,
              John

                Thanks Nigel, Stan & John.

Stan, the wall, as John said, is granite and is flaked so that was the way the wall was make.

Certainly makes for poignant memories. Nice. Like the first and last; not quite sure about the second with the granite wall.
