    Brown Hare

A day at Elmley Marshes yesterday, where amongst a very wide range of wildlife, can be seen brown hares. This was one of three in a field by the access road and really not too close and very difficult to creep up on, so this one is a bit of a crop. Quite pleased as haven't shot one for a few years

Nice one. The few times I've seen one they have been far away and getting farther away fast...

              Re: Brown Hare

              Very nice Stan

I've only ever seen one in my life. I was driving down a typical 'sunken' Devon lane when it popped out into the road in front of the car but became couldn't escape due to the height of the lane sides. It scampered down the road for quite a way before finding a field gate it could dart through. I was quite surprised by how big it was.

              Cheers,
              John
