    Don't tell anyone....

We are meant to be "secret".

Looking through some shots from a break over in Washington a couple of years ago I came across this car parked close to the White House.

    Cheers, Chris.

Chris, funnily enough I was in Washington earlier this year and had exactly the same wry smile when I saw the wording on the cars. I even thought about taking a shot to post up here, but every time I lifted my camera up, large men with big guns kept glaring at me suspiciously so I bottled it.

Haven't quite got the hang of secret have have they...

Looking at their website it seems that they are a law enforcement agency more akin to the FBI and ATF than to more covert organisations like the CIA or NSA. Apparently they also provide the uniformed Whitehouse Police whose car I guess that is.

            Very educational is photography...

Thanks for the info, Nigel - yes, an interesting interpretation of the word secret.
And, AlexR, you reminded me of a trip I made to Moscow in 1984 when cold war rules applied - any move towards taking a camera out of its case anywhere near a bridge or key important building and the men with guns were by your side to escort you away. And not in a terribly polite manner. Went from there to St Petersburg and found things much more relaxed....
Interesting trip between the two - used the Red Arrow night train (best tea and worst toilets ever...) and was shooed away from windows if one attempted look out.
              Cheers, Chris.
