Its much better with the closer crop but I feel there isn't quite enough space under the fox cubs jaw. The eyes are wonderful and sharp.

the close cropped one ,has something going on on the right side of the face twixt nostril and eye ,a flat area have you cloned something out of the original ,it spoils a otherwise extremely good shot .
saying that the two fox cubs together on your flickr stream is a better pic imho
