    Blair Athol Coo

Last year when I visited Blair Athol the Highlanders in this field were brown, this year they were black and friendly. As I was walking along to make an image or two a mini bus full of a tour group stopped for the bus passengers to photograph the Highland Cows (Coo in our family).

I decided to remove a strand of barbed wire from the image, it didn't seem to bother the beast but it bothered me in the image so it was removed.

Nice shot Peter. Very sharp and detailed. I would perhaps have liked a bit more space on either side of the horns; it looks a bit too tight.

Just for you Nat, here's a slightly different crop which has only had some of the top of the frame removed and nothing off the width.

                  Re: Blair Athol Coo

I mentioned in my first post that the previous years cattle in this field were brown. I'm not sure if I had posted this on here before, so I thought it would be rude not too seeing as how I had mentioned the brown cattle.
This one is from June last year so slightly earlier in the year with plenty of wild flowers in the field.

Peter ,I like the second and third photos. The animals have got far more space, apart from being very sharp with all relevant details well exposed.

I live in B.A. & the cows are placed in that field every year, just for the tourist. They are now a stopping place for all the buses going to the castle. It is a sight to see 50 Japanese tourist with some major cameras photographing the cooos.
