    Thorp Perrow Spook-tacular Halloween trail

I made reference in another thread to the Halloween Trail that the Arboretum install each year in time for the school half term holiday. I thought I would share two images that show part of the trail exhibits.

#1 Coffin Tree and guardian the notice on the tree says Police Aware!.

#2 A scary (too scary for me)BBQ chef. I'm unsure of what the children would make of this one

I thinks so too Stan, some of the exhibits had pictogram (showing clapping hands) underneath they would then make scary sounds and light up. When we passed the BBQ my wife said that will give the kids nightmares
There was some great colours throughout the arboretum with some trees planted in positions to catch sunlight.

Great stuff!!! I definitely think there could be some nightmares in the area!!!

As a passing aside, which has nothing to do with the photographs - I am feeling very old as I do not remember Hallowe'en being any big deal when I was small. My (almost ex-) wife used to make a big deal of it with our girls who would gorge on vast quantities of treats. But I do small the whiff of commercialism cashing in in what would otherwise be a slow month for retail...

            Hey ho: Grumpy old sod!!!
