    My "supermoon" take!

    OK, so it's not really got a point of reference, but given I forgot about it until it was there if front of me, I don't think I did too badly on this one - I would have liked to have something else in the frame though, just to prove it's not just any old moon pic!

    Nice shot. If I'd achieved that with my attempts I'd have been a lot happier. Next clear night I'm going to try again but with nicking your settings

      Thank you - by all means, copy my settings - the lens was a Sigma 70-300 APO (non IS) so I used a tripod and a remote as well, so you should do much better with the 100-400!

        I also used a tripod with IS switched off but with the self-timer rather than a remote. I also generally had a bigger aperture and higher shutter speed. Plenty of things to try to improve on my best attempt so far.
