The Bridge Inn isn't the best, sure, but it's handy as it's open all day and getting a meal outside of the 12-2.30pm window can sometimes be problematic. Will note the Ferry Inn for the next time we're up there, thanks!

Too many screaming kids and general chaos ensuing during the season for me

The Ferry Inn still gets very busy in season but is a bit more rustic feeling so to speak .

I haven't tried the Bridge out of season to be fair so it maybe worth a go.

We are up there most weekends so I'll give it a go again sometime soon.

Next time your down give us a shout and maybe we can meet up.

We are moored at Acle Marina .

This is our little boat at its home.

No current plans but will bear it in mind, thanks

And we've always managed to visit outside of school holidays, at least.

Very nice. I'd like to live somewhere watery when I retire and get a small boat.

            We aren't retired yet.........mores the pity !
It's about 60 miles up the road for us but gives us a bolt hole to get away for a day or so when we need to unwind
            Regards,

I didn't mean to imply that you were, although I can see now how it might have been construed that way

Don't worry, I was just wistfully thinking wouldn't it be nice
