This is my first posting on this Forum having just joined a few days ago, so I wanted to introduce myself. I took up Photography some years ago after I had been released from Hospital after about 9 months having been badly injured in a Railway accident when I was travelling to work at the CAA Headquarters in London. When I left School I had trained to become an Air Traffic Control Officer serving at Heathrow, Scottish ATCC, Manchester, Farnborough, London ATCC and this had been my last posting - the accident had forced me to give up most of my previous Hobbies, so I started off with an APS Camera then graduated to several 'early' Digital Cameras then after passing through a couple of Digital 'Bridge' Cameras, I upgraded to a Canon EOS550D. Having bought several different Lenses for this Camera, I upgraded again to a EOS70D, but still retained the EOS550D, as all my Lenses fitted both Cameras and I now spend most of my time getting around and photographing anything that takes my interest. I have been very lucky as my Wife and I have recently been on many holidays to 'distant' lands, including several trips to the USA, Hawaii, Alaska, New Zealand (both Islands), Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Malta, Italy, Tenerife and a few others, which have given me many more Photographic opportunities. It has taken me a long time to get acquainted with all the buttons and switches on the Camera's bodies and I am still finding a few new facilities, so I might be asking other members for a bit of help and advice in the future.
