    100 D Battery

    Hi anyone got any thoughts regarding Battery grip v just a spare battery for use with 100D ?
    100d 18-55 EFS IS STM 55-250 EFS IS STM 75-300 EF111 to finish first first you have to finish

    I like the 100D because it's small, adding a battery grip would just make it bigger and lose the advantage. Unless you feel it's too small for your hands, I'd get spare batteries, not Canon but compatibles at a fraction of the price.

      Canon don't make a battery grip for the 100D as far as I am aware.

        You can buy a Third party grip off amazon. If it was me, I`d get a spare battery.

          I don't advice buying a battery grip for the 100D. Too messl I sold my 100D and got the 760d instead and it is brilliant in every way for me

            Thanks for your thoughts yes there is a third party grip but does seem to defeat the object of a small camera think I will go for the spare battery option .

              I have never yet depleted a full battery in a single day's shooting, so unless you have particularly heavy power requirements or you want the added size and weight anyway, I think a spare battery in your bag makes more sense than a grip

                Because the 100d wasn't designed to have one, any after market grips need to workaround not having a proper power connector. A horrible kludge, as Nat says. Your second battery decision is much tidier.
