Infra Red - any tips?

My better half has bought me a cheap 720nm IR filter as a stocking filler for Xmas. I had dropped a few hints and left Amazon open on my laptop

I've never done any IR photography - but it's something I'd like to give it a go - and for £20 it's just a little bit of fun. I've got a 5d3 along with my 24-105 L f/4, nifty fifty and 17-40 L f/4. I realise that the exposure times will be massively extended so a bright day and tripod is essential.

Any other tips?

I'll be interested to see what you come up with. It's something I've been thinking of trying for some time, just haven't got round to it yet.
