Really much too small in the frame and rather a messy background. Zooming in most of the grasshopper is out of the plane of focus resulting in very little being sharp. Don't know what lens or settings you used but next time, probably not until next summer, try to get nearerComment

Flickr version, cropped.
Personally I prefer the non cropped version as I find the background is a good setting for the grasshopper and is pleasant to the eye.

I am afraid all the crop proves is that there is very little detail showing in your subject - look in particular at the bottom half of the body and his rear legComment
