    Newbie here from Clydebank

Hi folks. Ive been interested in photography since i was a teenager (51yo now) but never got too heavily into it, just loved the hobby. It started with a Zenith TTL then more recently a Sony a200 which i sold a while back. Then i saw my brother over Christmas and he had just bought himself a Canon 7d or 5d ,can't remember, and i got the bug again.
So I've got myself a 2nd hand Canon EOS 750d and some lenses off a guy on Gumtree.
Due to my location under the flightpath at Glasgow Airport most of my tinkering with settings has been taking pics of planes landing.
Not many exciting birds round here , mostly crows, magpies, robins, hedge sparrows, bluetits, seagulls. There used to be an apple tree across the back which used to attract a solitary Fieldfare every year but it was taken out.

Anyhoo thats my life and look forward to this rekindled hobby and forum.

Welcome Dave (there are loads of us Dave's on here) . I came even later to photography than you two, shall be 70 this year, but that means work does not get in the way of taking photos, though I agree about the eyes. Dave

Well as usual the weather this weekend is miserable. Tried a quick pic just now just to see if i can put photos on directly from my iPad.
Its not a good one so don't shout at me just a test

              Hi Dave, and welcome aboard.

Yep, lots of Dave's on here

I remember when I was last out in Australia, they were selling T shirts, with "Every one knows a Dave" written on them.

Cheers Bill and Tom. Had one of those days today when i pressed the shutter on more than one occasion and nothing happened.
Note to self: Turn the bloody camera on.
I just wish the viewfinder was blocked when the camera was off. That way i would know.

Cheers Steve. Weather this weekend has been abysmal so not much photography going on. And when its this grey we start to lose light at the back of 3o'clock.
