    New to macro photography

Anyone have any beginners advice for macro photography. I am using a 760D and a 100mm L macro lens. I will post some photos on this forum and hopefully get some feedback. Good or bad

I'm not especially experienced but have had a dabble....I offer the following:-
-beware depth of field will be very shallow at close distances so small aperture is usually needed
-because of critical focussing a tripod is a good idea of course
-Off camera flash a great help....if not a ring flash....built in or hot shoe mounted flash might be affected by the shadow cast by the lens barrel on the subject
    - if hand held you might find that having set focus manually you rock slightly forwards and backwards and fire the shutter release when you have best sharpness in the viewfinder
    .....hope that helps

You can Use photo stacking to get around the narrow depth of field by taking several images with different focal points and then merge them to create one image in focus, Google photostacking.
For other lighting a white sheet, bit of cooking foil etc will allow you to bounce daylight on to your subject.
        Good luck :)
