    Glastonbury Tor...

I posted the colour version of this a while ago and then Stan (I think it was, it probably was ) rightly commented on my lack of attention to detail while processing the converging verticals. So here, in the mono conversion I always thought it needed, they have been attended to. I hope you agree:

You've processed it very well John but for me the stairs are leading my eye away from the Tor so I'm looking left and right and cannot settle

I like it too....I think some shots benefit from leading your eye around a bit....but its a good point regarding leading away from the main subject....and out of the frame in this case. I like it too....a nice classic Tor shot.

Thanks folks I can see the point being made and agree with it. The steps had such great texture I wanted to capture them along with the tower for placement so such a shame I wasn't tall enough to see 'over the lip' - yet another argument for a selfie stick

composition does work but the steps do appear to lead you out of the frame although a the top they do turn towards the Tor. Perhaps with a little more of the scene to the left in the frame you would have a more definite lead to the Tor

                Thanks Stan

Quite correct the steps do turn right at the top but it's not very clear. It was cropped quite tight in the original so here's a stretched canvas (both sides for balance) version of it:

John, that's a great call on adding some canvas, and that tiny change makes a great difference. Very very nice image.
