    The End...

I was at the NEC last night to watch the curtain fall on the most excellent Black Sabbath - a band I've supported since their first album which I bought on the day of release. I was only able to smuggle a compact past security so these aren't the quality I would have expected of a FF but are better than nothing, besides, I took them for me as a reminder of a great concert and sad occasion.

Great set of shots ... initially bought the single before buying the album, both of which I still have. Can't help feeling he inhabits a different reality to most of us though. Still makes me laugh when I remember the tv ad in which he thought Donny and Marie were his kids!

Can't say I was ever a particular fan but it must have been a terrific night and well captured looking at the shots on your flickr site. My favourite is the third shot.

                  Thanks folks

It did make me smile that they still have "no photography or video" signs up yet looking down at the masses on the floor it seemed half of them had their smartphones aloft to capture the action

                  Cheers,

I think the" powers be" object to proper cameras- like DSLR's and not to smartphones.

It is annoying though, to go to a concert and struggle to get a good view because people are holding phones and tablets up in the air, recording the concert.

Thanks Brian 1979? That was the year Ozzie 'left' so was he still in the band when you saw them?
