I'm trying to organise all my images by starting to use LR 5 and am getting frustrated. Ive been using a MacBook for the last 18 months but still have a PC mentality. Until this year I have imported my images from cards, external drives and from my old PC to a Pictures folder which I then review and manipulate in Photoshop Elements selecting them with the MAC Finder app.
My difficulty is that although I can view (via Finder) all the RAW files in a particular folder and open them in PS E or Preview, my LR Library only sees about 6 of the 30+ images that I want to import. Any ideas how to get LR to see all the RAW files I want to import.
The versions of RAW are all compatible with my LR5, they were taken with either a 400d or 60d and have been previously opened with LR when I first started to "play" with it. I have a new M3 whose RAW files are not compatible with LR 5 so unless I upgrade to LR CC I have to convert them.
Anyway the pressing problem is how to import more images into LR if LR continues not to see them?
