      Thanks John, glad you like it, I was looking at your latest earlier (the rock barge) what do you use for developing/processing your raw files? I really like the look that you have achieved with that image.

        Thanks Tim. I use Lightroom and 'making a big splash' was a single side-lit shot - others I took today were more into the sun and even five-image HDRs weren't enough to produce the nice light achieved in that one

                    That is a really lovely image, Tim. Love the foreground interest of the horse and rock, the contrast of dark and light skies, the valley leading through the shot, the mist below, the splash of light on the hill, the lake in the distance;in fact, pretty well everything about it.
