Re: Canon EF 200mm f2.8L II USM Lens

I bought one of these used, excellent lens about as sharp as they come. Close focus is only 1.2 metres, a bit closer would be better. Works well with the Kenko 1.4 T/C to give a 280 mm F4, excellent for butterflies etc.
However, unless you need the F2.8 the 70 - 200 F4 goes for a similar price and has more flexibility, plus equal image quality.

Re: Canon EF 200mm f2.8L II USM Lens

Cheers for the reply. I have a Sigma Sport 600mm, and the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM. So they cover the long distances. There are them moments where I feel this lens will fit into that gap, plus the F2.8 will help no end.

It's one of the oldest lenses in the L line up, but the fact that it's still going testifies to its quality. There are plenty of more or less mint ones going used, mine looks like new and saved £200+.
