    Oldway Mansion and Gardens

This house and gardens have featured in my posts before because a) it's very photogenic and b) have you seen the rest of Paignton?

IMG_0637-Edit by John Leah, on Flickr

A comment on Flickr suggested I increase the clarity but I'm not convinced - what does the team think?

    Cheers,
    John

Nice composition John, an increase in clarity may also give a boost to brightness and saturation but looks fine as is.

Thanks folks, I'm glad you like it

I had a play with the clarity slider but when increased enough to make a discernable difference it seemed to be emphasising the black edgings giving it the appearance of an ink drawing that had been coloured in

              Cheers,
              John

I am not sure clarity would really enhance the photo. It is a good composition and a pretty scene. The foreground plant color seems a little subdued but that would be the only real nit picky I would have and that may be deliberate on your part. Sharpness is there so clarity wouldn't even be on my radar screen.

Thanks Junkie Yes a bit more colour in the lower left quarter would have been welcome but I'd have needed to be careful it didn't halt the travel of the eye up the channel the border provides.

                    Cheers,
                    John
