Do it! I paid £145+ £8-ish p&p for mine new from eBay last year and owing to an issue with delivery (it was outside their guaranteed delivery slot) they ended up refunding the p&p anyway.

                      Re: EF-S 55-2250 IS STM

...all of these taken this morning...early before the rain started.
Hence very dull, ISO1600 to get 1/100th sec and the lens was wide open...would have been better if stopped down a bit.
All in all I'm very pleased with these...it would have been interesting to have side by side comparisons with 5D3 and 100-400L....but I doubt they would be that much better at real world user sizes.

This one would have been better had the focus point been on the eye not the collar....but pretty good at normal viewing sizes....not great detail when blown up - largely due to ISO1600 and noise....but very usable

I'm now thinking that the 50mm f1.8 STM might be a better choice than the 10-18mm as my next addition - for those times when I want really shallow DoF...the wide zoom is quite a limited zoom range which makes me wonder how useful it is....

I have both- the 50mm and the 10-18mm; I use the latter more than the 50mm.
