    Challenge 127: Bridge

Well, I put my thinking cap on, and was amazed to find that I came up with a subject that hasn't been used before: Bridges. Which is odd because they provide such great opportunities for some beautiful images.
So please submit your images that show, or relate to, a bridge (of any kind).

The general rules are as the previous challenge with no changes:
    • The competition subject shall be selected by the winner of the preceding competition who will also judge the competition.
    • One picture per person; images should conform to general image posting rules.
    • Please use an EOS Canon camera - DSLR or M series.
    • Posted images should be taken during the running period of the competition. Any images submitted that were taken before the competition started, or after the competition has ended, will be deemed invalid.
    • Images 800 pixels widest max (to help those with small monitors).
    • No Photoshop frames and borders.
    • Include a title; the image must convey the theme without title description.
    • Please, NO comments on images- on this or another thread- until the round is over.
    • No canvassing e.g. “I’m thinking of posting this image for the challenge, what do you think?”
    • I will pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd favourite images (please don’t PM me to discuss my choices).

Closing date for entries is midnight (in the UK) on Saturday 25th March so that gives you 3 full weeks to create your masterpieces.

    Good luck to you all,
    Canon EOS 7D

It is either. And it is any definition of a bridge, whether physical or conceptual. You can interpret as widely as you like (as John has done).

                          Re: Challenge 127: Bridge

Abridged - a bridge cut short!
Cleethorpes Pier - was once much longer than it is now but the bridge to all the stuff at the original end was cut during WW11 and all the end of the pier removed to prevent it being invaded by the Germans (although anyone invading would simply have used the long, firm beaches that run for miles either side of it).
Can still see where the bridge was cut all those years ago -

Haile Sands Fort visible in the distance.

                          Cheers, Chris.
                          Just chuggin' along.
