    Ships at Milford Haven

A few years ago I took the bike over to Ireland and travelled on the ferry Isle of Inishmore from Pembroke Dock to Rosslare. This is a treat for ship enthusiasts as there's nine miles of sailing before reaching open water passing tankers, tugs and pilot boats the whole way. When I processed my holiday photos I separated out those of the shipping and have only recently rediscovered them so thought I'd share a selection here:

From the deck of Isle of Inishmore looking down the sound and showing some of the tugs that shadow all shipping arriving and departing:

The two tugs (Svitzer Haven and Svitzer Lindsway) that escorted us with the Lifeboat Station in the background:

Tugs Svitzer Musselwick and Svitzer Watwick with the town of Milford Haven in the background:

    Pilot Boat Skomer:

    Tanker Giannutri leaving Milford Haven:

There are several more images on Flickr for the boat enthusiast to view

    Cheers,
    John
