      I think the BW has potential if you open the whites more or use a yellow filter to be increase the contrast.

          always a good sign, loads of them around here especially alongside the roads

          Nature is colourful so for my should always be in colour unless the subject is close to black and white anyway, eg zebra etc

            Yes, for me too the colour has the edge. If the B&W were more of a contrast then that might pinch it.
