Defo Tony, I've not really had any exposure to night shoots - see what I did there??

Re: The Shard and the Thames

Tony, what is showing now is wonderful; lovely composition and beautifully processed. I did like your first version, and was worried that by taking some off the bottom it might look as if you had cropped the top of the reflected Shard off. Yes I know there actually wasn't any reflection showing in the original, but once cropped you can't see that (if you know what I mean). But it works fine.
Just a minor thought/suggestion, a little while ago there was some interest in a Forum meet up in London but it fizzled out. If you were planning a night-shoot, and were happy to open it up, perhaps posting the date into the 'Local Scene' thread will generate some interest.

Didn't see the original but from the comments, a bit has been taken off the bottom. My first reaction when seeing this was, it could possibly do with a bit more room on the bottom. Oh well, we all see things differently .

Thanks for the input John. I think I'll keep it as it now is as I wouldn't want to crop into the 'shape' of the Shard's shadow on the water. If that makes sense....
