    goldcrest at last

    super day out with steve (dawesy) again today ,we set out with a couple of wanted birds to get and got most of them .our sea bird list was out of the question with the high winds .and we had some bonus birds to this tiny little goldcrest being a long wait for me last time i got a shot of one was several years ago and not of this quality .well pleased and we will both have lots of shots to go through tonight .

    Lovely shot of a lovely bird. Fairly common up here, but I hadn't got your wonder lens ( yet) to shoot them.

          You really wouldn't have believed how fast these things flit about me and Steve were like a pair of spinning tops as the birds went from tree to bush and back again ,not the sort of birds a 500 or 600 lens is made for .but we got them with team work, the smallest British bird they weigh the same as a 20p coin

                      Goldcrest was one of first birds I photographed with my Sigma.
                      Not easy as the little bu****s never seem to stop.

                      Was really impressed by Sigma after seeing the images.
