Robin courtship

I was mowing the orchard this afternoon when I noticed these two - the male is obviously bringing food to the female to show what a wonderful husband and father he would make - whether he won her heart or not I know not.

Both grab shots really, I did not dare to approach too close for fear of disturbing them and ruining his chances, so a fairly hefty crop I'm afraid.

Good capture, this pair bonding is always good to see. Hoping to see some of this with local kestrels soon.
