    Nice one,but looks like a Chiffchaff.but i could be wrong LOL,the beak on a Greenfinch is more solid/chunky. ,.and legs are to dark.

      It's certainly not a greenfinch! I'd say chiffchaff as well.

        Thanks John and Chris. I was perhaps a bit misled by the greenish hue.

          Chiffchaff or Willow Warbler , best identified by song , if you took it today Nat more likely to be a Chiffchaff as they arrive here earlier than the Willow Warblers although I heard my first one of the year today

              Thanks Steve and Paul. I took the picture yesterday (27th March). The birds don't seem to leave the reeds in a hurry.

                    As others have said defo not Greenfinch. Chiffchaff a good guess as has been quite an influx over the past few days. Actually heard one nearly two weeks ago.

                    Chiffchaff have over wintered in the UK particularly in the South.
