A few from our first visit to Chester Zoo last Saturday, handheld as usual 5DmkIII, 70-200 2.8 mkII with the Canon 1.4 mkIII extender. Really quite impressed with Chester, got there at 10am for opening and stayed until it closed at 5:30, could quite happily have stayed a couple more hours.
1- 1/500, f/4, iso 160, 215mm shot through viewing glass between fingerprints, hence the slight distortion on the head 'spines'
2- 1/1250, f/4, iso 6400, 150mm 'taking a bath' very dark area, think the combo handled it all really well
3- 1/640, f/7.1, iso 100, 280mm that moment you realise you have to go back to work after a great 4 day weekend
4- 1/1000, f/4.5, iso 250, 205mm This lady was stunning, only a brief 'showing' but worth the wait
5- 1/500, f/4, iso 6400, 160mm just amazed to get anything at all - dark / through thick grubby glass and water
Sorry for the photo overload, just trying to show what a varied day it was ;-)
Thanks for looking
