    Jack Vettriano style.

I have long been an admirer of the work of Jack Vettriano and have wanted to do a shoot in his style for many months, so we set out one Sunday morning to try to achieve this. "We" being my wife, myself and a couple of models. The real clincher was, on arriving on site and finding a couple of random eastern european gentlemen taking photographs. I could not pass up the opportunity and quickly press-ganged one of the gentlemen to hold the umbrella (his friend also joined in the session).

With the addition of this gentleman, it turned what was potentially a good photograph into what I think is one of my best so far!

      Certainly has the Vettriano feel.

Being nit-picky I wonder if it's worth trying to straighten up the lamp-post? It's very close to the figures which tends to draw attention to the fact that it's not upright. Otherwise...

Very good example of a Vettriano work, got to love the 700D. Dave

I have to say that I am not particularly a Vettriano fan, but that is a great idea and you have executed it superbly - the composition is spot on and the processing has really achieved the style. Bravo, sir!
