Stainers Crucifixion sung by the St.Asaph Cathedral Voluntary choir-2nd April 2017.

Yesterday was a red letter day for the St.Asaph cathedral voluntary choir which gave a magnificient performance of Stainers Crucifixion. It brought tears to several people in the congregation who were present. The choir is composed of ex-choiristers and others who live in and around St.Asaph. They give their time freely to come and sing. All pics taken with the Canon 6D,24-105mm L lens, in manual mode, auto ISO,TV 125-160;f6.3,auto WB. No flash used.

Approx 60 hits and no comment. It would appear that choirs are of no interest to the members!

I like then first one better than the second Nat as you have part of the organ in there, but the 2nd has a better light level as it shows more detail, nice set and well recorded, have you considered doing some really low angle shots looking up at the choir head and shoulders and getting part of the ceiling detail in?

Thanks Tony. I take your point. Unfortunately with such photography I cannot move around and have to be like a ghost! I have to stay put in one place, monopod and all that. The only time I was able to stand was during the singing of the hymns & I took some pics then. Personally I would have liked to have moved to the left and taken some shots from that angle as well but that would have disturbed the performance -a performance without any "breaks" and that flowed from start to finish.

Nice set Nat, as with your other sets of this type they tell a good story, my only comment and a criticism more of an observation is that they look a tad 'warm' as if the WB could do with being toned down a little. What have you got you Picture Style set to in Camera? as I think you shoot in Jpeg?

                Regards Paul

Thanks Paul. Are you referring to the very last photo (7th)- the single one in the thread? Is this any better?
