CanoScan LiDe 30 scanner, Windows 10 driver needed.

The scanner was working perfectly with the free VueScan driver for Windows 7. Update to Windows 10 and VueScan want to charge $50. Does anyone know of another free source?
If Canon make their products to last, why can't they update the drivers!
    Rant over!

Well my mp640 has just given up the ghost after 7 years use! It just not want to communicate to my computer anymore. Why does everything seem to go wrong just when you need it.
Not sure what to get now but whatever I could do with asap
