    Crazy Kayakers

I wasn't sure if this should have been posted in Transport but I eventually settled for sport/action. This was taken from a bridge over the Hukka Falls in New Zealand.
I suspect they continued down the full length of these falls to the pool below them. I did see them a bit later on as they were walking back along a track below the falls, maybe to have another go, rather them than me!

#2 Revised processing to deal with the sky as per John's feedback in post #7

      Re: Crazy Kayakers

I like that a lot as the water, sky and rocks all have good texture, the composition is spot on (portrait for a landscape shot? Certainly when the scene commands it!) and there is lots of drama to be enjoyed.

Warning... anecdote alert... when I bought my first boat it was on a swing mooring in Torquay harbour but I didn't yet have a tender to get out to it. The seller - who had another boat - offered me the use of his kayak that he kept on the slipway (different times when property was respected and it was safe to do so). I'd never been in a kayak and said so. "It's easy, have a go" said seller. I put it in the water, climbed in, let go of the wall and... instantly capsized - fully clothed The next day I bought a dinghy as a tender. The reason I tell this tale is to express the wonder I have for those intrepid kayakers who shoot the rapids as above while I couldn't even keep upright on the glass smooth water of a harbour. Much respect is due.

      Cheers,
      John

Lovely shot Peter, although the sky looks a slightly strange colour.

Thanks John, I've just looked at the other images from there and the sky has an odd colour to it. But I think I've fixed it with this version
