    New "3D bit" £1 coin

    It is tricky to photograph metallic surfaces. What caught my attention about the new "3d bit" pound was that there was some funny looking beading around the edge. Took a couple of shots and on close-up the "beading" is actually printed writing. On the front is "ONE POUND" and on the flipside "2016".

      Well captured, with plenty of detail, I've not seen the new coin yet it seems a good subject for macro.

                  I've only had one so far; it's surprising that they are taking so long to distribute ???
                  You'll also find that the 'bars' below the Queen's neck contains a hologram of '1' and '£'. You need to turn it about 45 degrees each way to see it...
                  Cheers;

                    Not likely to see one any time soon. Well captured.
