That looks like a genuine period piece so he probably paid a lot for it at an autojumble

The car did have a patina of age, so the cost hanger was appropriate!

Aaah, from the era when cars still looked like cars and not like standardised jelly moulds - or figments of a designers worst nightmare...

When I was a teenager I wanted a Dolly Sprint, never did get one but I did end up with a TR7 which had the same engine...
