    New Sigma sport 500 f4



    An interesting option for wildlife togging, slightly heavier than the Canon 500 f4 but pretty much half the price.

    I am still waiting to see some decent reviews of this lens . But does sound tempting .

        I guess you get what you pay for according to that, never used a Sigma, other than taking test shots in shops, but they do feel nice in the hand

            Too heavy for me Jeff, even if it was a lot cheaper, interestingly Colin Prior(who just had an excellent program on the BBC tonight) recommends the 100-400 mkii for the sort of work I'm doing, though he uses a 500mm for some of his work when shooting wildlife.

              Had not read that one , thanks Richard , he seems to know what his on about . Bit worrying regarding the focus drift he mentions .
