    Flagrant image theft

Yup one of mine too... however PIXYS will not pursue this due to it being upload by an individual and hence the possibility of getting a result out of the individual is low, they have however told me how to proceed and I have contacted Shutterstock with the details.... the individual appears to be very very well travelled, or perhaps his mouse is.

Here is the offending object, now due to me putting my copyright on my images and it being light in colour on a light part of the image, the muppet hasn't even realised it is still on the image he has stolen for all to read in the bottom left corner!

    Canon 1DX, 50D, EF500 F4.0 L, EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L I , EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II, EF70-200 f/2.8L II, EF180 f3.5L Macro, EF 24-105 f/4L, EF17-40 f/4L, EF2.0X III, EF1.4X III, 430EX II, MR-14EX...

a nice outcome would be Shutterstock closing his account and they could have done that straight away, well other than you getting paid but thats not going to happen by the looks of things !! be interesting to see what they do

unfortunately they won't pursue individuals as the outcome is not financially worthwhile ,they do however pursue companies and my next payment for image theft which has just gone to court in lousiana will result in a payment to myself after there fees of around £500 ,something i could never have done on my own or known where to start .
well worth doing .the only thing i think they have done wrong is to start to charge a upfront fee as they already take a 50% fee for settlement .

I suppose that is in case they lose, to offset their costs, but they could simply if they win reimburse that. but hey ho, at least it points me in the right direction, I have sent off an email yesterday, so I expect they have lots to go through before they get to mine.
