was just checking this out in the Collins insect book and found between the pictures of the top and underside of the wings a small shot looking very much like that you have posted. On further investigation via google it looks like yours is in fact a female orange tip - not seen one like that before which is why I had thought they all had orange tips to the wings. Would be interesting to know if the underside of the wings is the same for both male and female

Cheers Stan I always thought the orange winged one was the female ,and this one (type) is constantly flitting around with the orange tip hence my assumption of male and female .some of my Flickr contacts are experts though so might get clarification via there
