Re: Quarry Bank Mill, Cheshire
If I may just add …
The mill is actually a working museum, complete with looms which they occasionally 'fire-up' and demonstrate (check in advance).
Another interesting feature is the Apprentice House, where ladies wearing clogs and period-dress give guided tours offering a wealth of fascinating info.
Great day out.

Fascinating, if it wasn't for the vapour trails, you could forget the first image was taken recently, it has that timeless quality to it, and I love the second image to, what a tranquil spot, especially considering it was once a working mill, with all that entailed.Canon 1DX, 50D, EF500 F4.0 L, EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L I , EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II, EF70-200 f/2.8L II, EF180 f3.5L Macro, EF 24-105 f/4L, EF17-40 f/4L, EF2.0X III, EF1.4X III, 430EX II, MR-14EX...

I was lucky to be allowed to use the tripod, before the mill opened, my daughter was working there at the time.
