    Derwent Water

I've just transformed this unremarkable colour shot to try and eek out some atmosphere......conditions were dull so not much colour to be had.....I'd appreciate any comments.

Works well and a good idea when light is poor, the Jetty and the boat make a really good starting point, I like it

      Re: Derwent Water

The plastic boat at the jetty seems incongruous in an image with such an otherwise timeless quality yet this is forgiven by very good processing that gives it an almost 3D effect. Yes, very nice indeed

      Cheers,
      John

Thanks All.......yes shame its not a wooden boat, that would have set it in another time.

Really nice image, Brian. The desaturation works really well and gives it a timeless and calm atmosphere and the grad filter from the bottom provides a lovely frame. Just wonder whether a tiny smidgeon added to the top would balance it slightly better and give the right hand mountain some extra room? But I'm looking for problems rather than simply admiring...
