You can't beat a bit of badger.... especially when it is done so well, what an excellent shot! See lots around here, sadly bloated and lying by the roadside. That one really does impress the heck out of me.
    Canon 1DX, 50D, EF500 F4.0 L, EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L I , EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II, EF70-200 f/2.8L II, EF180 f3.5L Macro, EF 24-105 f/4L, EF17-40 f/4L, EF2.0X III, EF1.4X III, 430EX II, MR-14EX...

I rarely see them in the open or in such good light for that matter .

Thanks everyone for your comments. Yes Stan it is wild. I have a sett in my woodland, I can get within a certain distance of the sett that they are happy with, but cross that line - they are gone. The same goes for the Roe Deer they will tolerate me to within a certain distance. if I move closer they move. Anybody else go anywhere near them and they are gone.

nice and sharp well shot, a friend of mine has access to a set also and has spent many years with the residents and has built a small hide, he manages to get within some 5 to 10 mtrs away, but any strangers and they seem to stay below ground. He walks the area with peanuts and a special whistle, hey presto within 30mins they start to come out, well not every time! but often enough to keep him happy.

Thanks Bill, haydnj. Yes they can become very trustworthy, I had one a few years back that would take food from my hand, anyone else with me and it was completely no go.
