    St.Chad's church, Stafford

I visited Stafford a few days ago and took the opportunity of visiting St.Chad's church, built in the 12th Century. The church has got a lot of Norman architecture and one cannot but be impressed by the massive pillars and the Norman Archway.

Another nice collection Nathaniel - I particularly like the lighting on the last image in the first batch

Another interesting set...I used to go to the college in Stafford...lots of opportunity.
I think one of the churches has an interesting octagonal tower.

One of Nat’s shots. One of the stalwarts of the site back then, not many on here from that era now. RIP Nat

Well said Trev, couldn't agree more. I corresponded with Nat for some years back in the day - mainly on how good the G12 was!

I was actually thinking of Nat only recently but, yes, we've lost a few over the years due to changes in camera, loss of interest, etc. (or, as with Nat, something more permanent ).

Nat was a typical 'hobby' photographer who was happy shooting just what he was interested in and sharing here. He is missed.

                          Cheers,

It is to my detriment that I have not been privileged to know Nat through his postings, the photos here of St Chad’s church are inspiring.
My condolences to his family, friends and those who knew him here.
