    Mating Common Blues

    Hope you like these , not really tried that high key style before as in pic 2 , and I am no butterfly expert , but is that a Brown Argus trying to muscle in , in pic 3 ?

      Mark excellent shots. I think in all probability that is a Brown Agus by the markings, they often found in the company of Common Blues

        the high key doesnt work too well for me and there isnt enough in focus but that first one is really good. Often see this sort of image do well in competitions but I have not been able to get a shot like that yet

          Thanks for the kind comments , I did suggest a competition thread , to advise when such opportunities were coming up . It sadly sunk out of popularity quite quickly .

            this is the current big one, https://www.bwpawards.org/ which Dee and I have entered this year. I got an image shortlisted a couple of years back but didnt make it any further but to get that far is pleasing enough

              Hi Mark; 1&3 are great, but sadly 2 doesn't do it for me; can't really put my finger on it, but it just doesn't work! Sorry!
