Hi All,
This year has been a bit of a disappointment so far for BBMF action, normally I would be watching Spitfires, Hurricanes plus the Lancaster and Dakota as they prepare for the Display season.
So far the fayre has been very poor, the Lancaster is still away at Duxford having been there for a Major service and repaint, the Dakota has not flown since needing a new engine mid season last year ( should be flying anytime now) and the Fighters have had a lot of problems too, some times they only had 1 of their 8 in flying condition.
Here are a few shots I have managed, sadly PDA day itself was very hazy

You will notice that one of the Spitfires is being flown in Primer, they had to suspend it's paint job to have enough aircraft for the PDA practises.
PDA is Public Display Approval, where all display Pilots have to perform their routine in front of a Senior RAF Officer usually an Air Vice Marshall, to be given the go ahead to be able to Display safely in front of the Public
Regards Paul
