    Scarce Swallowtail

As I understand it that is the correct name for this butterfly.
I was doing a bit of gardening this morning when I noticed this particular butterfly. Usual situation no camera to hand. It was fluttering around all over the place without settling. Took a chance and went for my camera. Lost sight of the butterfly at first but then I saw it land in my garden. Managed to get within 8 meters of it before it flew off again. One of those "at least I have a record shot". Waited for it to land again. Obligingly it landed on a bush next to my small pond. Taking a series of pictures as I got closer and this is what I ended up with.
I have had a different Swallowtail in my garden before but I hadn't seen one for 3 years. I know I should use Flickr as the image is a little soft from Photobucket.

    Taken with a Canon 7DMKII with a 70-200mm f2.8 IS MKII. 1/800sec f7.1 ISO640 @200mm

Thanks Mark and Trev for your comments.
Maybe I am lucky as I saw another one this morning.
