I replied to this about an hour ago, it seems to have disappeared!!
Anyway, super shot of it coming straight at the Camera like that, had never heard of a Snail Kite before this!

as we got out of the car she was perched very close on a post but flew off before got the camera ready but fortinately she just circled and returned to the post again before flying off into the distancesuper shot of it coming straight at the Camera like that
I hadn't either and only one of many different birds we shot - started counting all the different ones and gave up after 60had never heard of a Snail Kite before this!

I was quite lucky with a slowish shutter speedI always find the head on flight shots more difficult
