    A tale of the Swan and the Chinese Ornamental goose (part three)- SAD NEWS

    I thought I'd let all the members know that I had a phone call this morning from the land owner to say that the eggs had been got at by predators. He noticed that the Swan was not on the nest and went to check and found broken egg shells.
    So there will be no little "Swanese" to photograph. We are of course very sad!

    Thats the law of the wildlife jungle!

      Sad to hear that Nat; I was looking forward to finding out what a Swan/Goose cross might have produced
      Cheers;

            What a shame, but that is nature. I was on a walk today and saw a dead water vole with two tiny, tiny dead babies next to it. A sad sight but at least it will make a good meal for something else raising its own young,.
