    Cheers all,

    In a perfect world the branches would be in focus, but I do like the effect they produce.

      Purely personal opinion of course, I can just about tolerate the branches on the right but those on the left / centre ruin an otherwise nice approach shot. I would remove them completely.

        Nicely timed image that you have framed between the two branches. to improve the shot you need a larger DOF so that the branched come into focus IMO

          Hi Marko; I don't think the foliage adds to the shot. Sorry. The subject is interesting enough as it stands, and the tree-line is fine, but I find the foliage a distraction... (Apart from that Norwegian seem to be invading the UK right now (reminders of Viking invasions...) with a huge number of slots at Gatwick!)
          Cheers;

            the foliage at the front does rather spoil the image but content aware fill would easily sort that

            a good thing too - we have just returned from Florida, flying the dreamliner and cant fault them and at nearly half the price of BA, the only difference being 3kg less hold luggage

              Thanks,

              maybe the foliage is too much. Pity, I liked the idea. I don't like fixing the photo with content aware fills or any other such method, so I'll post a bit different view of this plane soon.

                Hi Marko,

                I think the idea is good, but positioning has let you down. The picture isn't 'balanced' - the aircraft needs to have a bigger gap to the upper foliage. I've done similar things and it does work.

                Cheers,

                  I disagree with most comments, I have done this quite a lot with aeroplane shots and do think it adds to the shot and to the overall impression of the plane being low
